After

AFTER

After, suddenly,

silence.

Cotton in the ears,

underwater bottom

quiet.

Stopped clock,

empty house,

Absence quiet.

Transcendent, ascendant

chrysalis quiet.

  2. not sure i would want to be on the bottom of the ocean...but i do love the quiet that invades when you are under the surface....and the water seems to hold you suspended in a hug...

  5. chrysalis quiet - you poem leaves one expecting an explosion of change, each line is concise and tight

  6. Quiet at the bottom. One can feel so peaceful. The fun is to rise slowly and feel the surge of bubbles and swirling waters around before reaching the surface! Nicely Karen!
