MUSICA SACRA

MUSICA SACRA

notice how they rise
   in concert
     from the bare branches

black frocked choirboys
   whose wings sing
     sacred songs to Heaven

  5. I absolutely love this. I will stop in the middle of the road and get out and look and listen when birds are gathering like this. I love to see them in the sky moving as one! I love every word and image here!

  6. In the 'hood they wear white shirts and black pants and they don't sing like choirboys but they do have a staccato rhythm.

  8. Jingle Poetry - Thanks for visiting and commenting on my poem.

    Kay - Thank you!

Niamh - I love to see them as they migrate in huge flocks.

Kay - I, too, stop to watch, and the sight of them turning through the sky as one always takes my breath away. I never seem to have a camera when I want one, either. Word phots will have to do, I guess.

    TWM - Funny!

    Cad - Thank you.
